The role focuses on learning and applying CATIA automation to streamline design workflows while adhering to customer and industry standards. You will work with cross-functional teams to create models, assemblies and drawings in CATIA V5/V6, contribute to DFMA and GD&T practices, and gain exposure to ENOVIA/3DEXPERIENCE.

We are seeking a skilled CATIA Design Engineer with 2-4 years of experience in automotive product design and development who is interested to learn and work in CATIA automation. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in CATIA V5/V6 modeling, assembly design, drafting, and engineering drawing creation. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop high-quality applications which will automate CATIA design workflows while ensuring compliance with customer and industry standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in CATIA design.
• Experience in the Automotive domain is mandatory.
• Strong proficiency in:
  • Part Design
  • Assembly Design
  • Generative Shape Design (GSD)
  • Drafting
  • Sheet Metal Design (preferred)
• Good understanding of:
  • Automotive design and development processes
  • GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
  • Engineering drawings and manufacturing standards
  • Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
• Experience in creating and managing large assemblies.
• Ability to interpret customer specifications, standards, and technical requirements.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Good communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Automotive BIW, Interior, Exterior, Chassis, Seating, Powertrain, or Plastic Trim components.
• Familiarity with ENOVIA / 3DEXPERIENCE Platform.
• CATIA Automation technologies such as EKL, VBA, Visual Scripting, etc.
• Knowledge of PLM workflows and release management processes.

Experience working with global automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers
