Job summary

Zoop - India's Live Bazaar in New Delhi seeks a sourcing professional to build and manage a brand and stock supplier pipeline. You will plan mix by category, manage inventory health and ensure quality standards with proper documentation.

The role requires 3+ years in apparel sourcing, a strong vendor network, and fluent Hindi/English. ESOPs are offered to share in the company’s growth and live commerce strategy.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in sourcing or buying for apparel or lifestyle categories.
• Existing network of brands, manufacturers, exporters, or stock traders.
• Strong negotiator with knowledge of landed cost, margin and pricing.
• Ability to judge fabric, finish and quality in person; awareness of surplus stock defects.
• Comfortable with spreadsheets for tracking buys, sell-through, stock age and supplier performance.

Responsibilities

• Source supply and build a pipeline of brands and stock suppliers.
• Identify new categories and build sourcing pipelines.

The sell through of our lives depends on our sourcing, which is what our business depends on.

You find the stock , negotiate the price, get it into our warehouse, and make sure it sells. The quality, price and depth of what we sell sits with you. You will work closely with the live studio, creator and operations teams. The role comes with ESOPs, so you share in what you help build.

What you'll do

• Source supply. Build a pipeline of brands, manufacturers, exporters and surplus aggregators with excess, old-season and liquidation stock.
• Identify new categories to expand into and build the sourcing pipeline for those.
• Plan the mix. Decide what to buy by category, size and price point, based on what sells, what clears slowly and what our shows need next.
• Manage inventory health. Track sell-through and stock age, and decide when slow stock gets re-run, bundled or liquidated in bulk.
• Control quality and provenance. Set inward QC standards, collect proper invoices and documentation for every lot, and drop suppliers who don't meet them.
• Manage suppliers. Build repeat relationships, track supplier quality and returns, and avoid depending on a few suppliers for most of our stock.

Who we're looking for

• 3–5 years in sourcing or buying for apparel or other lifestyle categories.
• An existing network of brands, manufacturers, exporters or stock traders you can call on day one.
• Strong negotiator who knows landed cost, margin and how to price a lot before buying it.
• Can judge fabric, finish and quality in person, and knows the common defects in surplus stock.
• Comfortable in spreadsheets: tracking buys, sell-through, stock age and supplier performance.
• Willing to travel to factories, warehouses and trading hubs.
• Fluent in Hindi and English.

Preferred

• Category or supply experience at a marketplace or commerce company in fashion or value fashion.
• Experience buying or selling liquidation, excess, export surplus or off-price inventory.
• Knows the surplus trade in hubs such as Delhi NCR, Tirupur, Ludhiana, Jaipur, Surat or Mumbai.
• Understands what documentation makes surplus stock safe to sell, including invoice chains and brand authorisations.

How we'll measure success

• Buy cost as a share of clearing price, by category and supplier.
• Sell-through at 30, 60 and 90 days, and how much stock ages past 90 days.
• Days of scheduled lives covered by live-ready stock.
• QC rejection, return and quality complaint rates by supplier.
• Number of active, repeat suppliers, and how much of our stock comes from the top three.
• Share of lots with full provenance documentation.
