Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group in Bengaluru, India, is seeking a Cash Operations Associate to manage daily cash positioning, liquidity, and accounting activities within Finance Services Operations.

You will review payments, support bank reconciliations, and coordinate with Treasury and other finance teams to meet reporting deadlines. The role is a day shift in a dynamic global finance environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance/Accounting or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or Finance Operations.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Experience with reconciliation processes and financial controls.

Responsibilities

  • Handle daily cash positioning and liquidity with stakeholders.
  • Review and approve payments using banking platforms across regions.
  • Ensure adherence to financial controls, policies, and processes.
  • Post financial transactions to support bank reconciliations.
  • Supervise daily cash file uploads into Cash Manager.
  • Prepare general ledger journal entries for posting.
  • Investigate unresolved transactions with Treasury and other teams.
  • Follow Accounts Receivable Direct Debit timelines.
  • Support reconciliation of bank-to-general ledger balances.
  • Partner with wider finance teams during high-volume periods.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis, reporting, and support as required.

Job description

This role reports to the Cash Operations Team Leader and is part of the LSEG Finance Services Operations function. The candidate will be responsible for a broad range of cash management, disbursement, and accounting activities. This includes managing across Group bank accounts, supporting payment processes, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve queries. As part of a dynamic and evolving organization, the role also offers exposure to projects and ad hoc initiatives that support business priorities. This will be a day shift position.

Role Responsibilities
  • Handle daily cash positioning and liquidity optimally in collaboration with Finance Services Operations and key stakeholders.
  • Review and approve payments accurately and on time using banking platforms across multiple regions.
  • Ensure adherence to established financial controls, policies, and processes.
  • Post financial transactions promptly and accurately to support efficient bank reconciliation processes.
  • Supervise daily cash file uploads into Cash Manager to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Prepare general ledger journal entries for review, approval, and posting.
  • Investigate and follow up on unresolved transactions across Treasury, Financial Reporting, Accounts Payable, and Credit Control teams.
  • Follow the Accounts Receivable Direct Debit process in accordance with timelines.
  • Support the preparation and reconciliation of bank-to-general ledger balances.
  • Partner with wider finance teams to handle high-volume periods and sophisticated issues, ensuring important metrics and reporting deadlines are consistently met.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis, reporting, and support to Group and local finance teams as required.
Preferred Skills and Capabilities
  • Solid understanding of financial controls and operational processes.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle several priorities and work optimally Collaborative teammate who builds positive working relationships across functions.
  • Experience with Oracle, SAP, Blackline, or similar financial systems is an advantage.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in Accounts Receivable, or Finance Operations within a large organization.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and working to tight deadlines.
  • Experience with reconciliation processes and implementing financial controls in an operational environment.
