We are seeking a highly motivated Carbon Trading Professional to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in carbon markets, trading mechanisms, regulatory frameworks, and voluntary and compliance carbon credit programs. The role involves sourcing, structuring, and executing carbon credit transactions while engaging with clients, project developers, and market participants.

Your Role and Impact

• Identify and execute carbon credit trading opportunities in voluntary and compliance markets.
• Develop and maintain relationships with project developers, brokers, and buyers in the carbon market.
• Analyze carbon credit pricing trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics to optimize trading strategies.
• Assist in structuring carbon credit transactions, including purchase agreements, offset strategies, and risk assessment.
• Work closely with internal teams to assess the quality and integrity of carbon offset projects.
• Keep up-to-date with international carbon market regulations, including EU ETS, CORSIA, and other emerging standards.
• Support business development efforts by identifying potential project investments and partnerships.
• Conduct financial modeling and impact assessments to evaluate potential carbon trading deals.

How You’ll Contribute to Team Success

• Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in market research and financial modeling.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple trading transactions.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and trading platforms is a plus.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Economics, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in carbon trading, sustainability, or environmental finance.
• Strong understanding of voluntary and compliance carbon markets, carbon pricing mechanisms, and project-based credits.
• Experience with carbon credit standards such as VCS, Gold Standard, GCC, CDM, or ACR.
