Job summary

Climeto is seeking a senior professional to oversee end-to-end carbon offset initiatives across multiple sectors. You will drive project development from concept through issuance, assess methodologies, and perform MRV and investment analyses, ensuring regulatory approvals and high-quality reporting.

Responsibilities include designing monitoring plans, preparing PDDs and emission reduction sheets, and coordinating with VVBs.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years in carbon project development.
• Exposure to AFOLU and Non-AFOLU sectors.
• Successful submission of at least 10 carbon projects.
• Methodology applicability assessment, MRV framework development, GHG inventory preparation (IPCC guidelines).
• Registry experience with Verra, Gold Standard, CDM, and others.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full-cycle development of carbon credits from conceptualization to issuance across multiple industries.
• Perform methodology applicability assessment and feasibility analysis.
• Conduct investment analysis (IRR and sensitivity analysis).
• Design monitoring plans and sampling plans; prepare monitoring reports.
• Prepare PDDs, Monitoring Reports, and emission reductions sheets.
• Coordinate with VVBs and stakeholders.
• Ensure registry approvals and regulatory compliance.

Oversee the complete lifecycle of carbon offset initiatives across diverse sectors, ensuring technical precision and successful registry approval.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full-cycle development of carbon credits from conceptualization to issuance across multiple industries
• Methodology applicability assessment and feasibility analysis more.
• Investment analysis (IRR and sensitivity analysis)
• Barrier analysis
• Common practice analysis
• Regulatory surplus and prior consideration assessmentBaseline emissions (BEy) calculation
• Project emissions (PEy) calculation
• Leakage emissions (LEy) identification
• Net emission reductions (ERy) calculation
• Application of emission factors (IPCC, grid emission factors)
• Monitoring plan design and parameter identification
• Sampling plan development and monitoring report preparation and more.
• Preparation of PDDs, Monitoring Reports, Emission reduction sheets
• Additionality reports and leakage assessments
• Sampling plans and GIS/KML project boundaries
• Coordination with VVBs and more.

Requirements

• Registry Experience (minimum three mandatory): Verra, Gold Standard, CDM, Article 6.4, Global Carbon Council, Isometric, Puro.earth, Cercarbono others.
• 4-8 years in carbon project development
• Successful submission of atleast 10+ carbon projects
• Exposure to AFOLU and Non-AFOLU sectors
• Other skills: Methodology applicability assessment, MRV framework development, GHG inventory preparation (IPCC guidelines)
• Software Tools: QGIS / ArcGIS, remote sensing datasets, GIS mapping for AFOLU projects

Education

• B.Tech / B.E. (Environmental / Energy / Mechanical / Chemical / Forestry)
• Master s in Climate Change / Environmental Management
• PhD preferred
• ISO 14064 certification preferred
