Job summary

Regal Rexnord in Mumbai is seeking a CAD Designer to create 3D models of electric motors, gearboxes, and components, and generate 2D drawings documented in the DDM system. Onsite role in designated Regal Rexnord office.

Expertise in SolidWorks required; responsibilities include 3D/2D modeling, GD&T, and supporting data uploads; teamwork with design and sustenance teams; knowledge of PDM/DDM software helpful.

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 1-4 years of experience.
• Proficient in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and 2D drawings.
• Experience with drafting standards and GD&T is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models of components and assemblies as directed by design and sustenance teams.
• Prepare 2D drawings per ASME Y14.5 and ISO 2768-1.
• Document and upload 2D/3D files in the DDM system.
• Assist with documenting/uploading files; collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for creating 3D models and detailed drawings of electric Motor, Gearbox & its components and assemblies. These 3D, 2D files will be documented with DDM (a kind of PDM software).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Here are your key responsibilities:

• Prepare 3D models of components and assembly as advised by design & sustenance team
• Prepare 2D drawings as per ASME Y 14.5 & ISO 2768-1.
• Support in documenting / uploading 2D, 3D files in DDM (data base software)
• Knowledge of kinematic simulation, animation for mechanism in SolidWorks would be optional
• Working effectively with an engineering and cross-functional team.

Critical Competencies

To excel in this role, you should possess the following competencies:

• Excellent hands-on experience in SOLIDWORKS is mandatory for parametric 3D and 2D drawings.
• Proficient in CAD modeling of parts, surface, assembly, animation, configurations.
• Should be able to make 3D assembly with full logical constraining.
• In detail knowledge on 2D drafting with associated 3D models
• Good knowledge and application of GD&T.
• Knowledge of stack-up analysis of assembly on 3D software’s
• Good knowledge of PDM/DDM software.
• Ability to think in three dimensions and visualize complex structures
• Good understanding of engineering principles.
• Basic knowledge of Excel.
