Job summary

Oriconsul India is seeking a CAD Operator for a 12-month project in the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor. The role focuses on preparing, revising, and reviewing railway drawings, yard plans, and civil drawings in accordance with RDSO standards using AutoCAD.

Candidates should have a degree/diploma in civil or mechanical engineering or a related AutoCAD diploma, with at least six years of experience. The position is project-specific and based at the project site.

Qualifications

• Minimum six years overall professional experience in related field.
• Preferred age below 40 years.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, revise and modify project drawings and designs.
• Draft and review contract drawings before work execution.
• Develop civil drawings (yard plans, geological plans, FOB, ROB) per RDSO standards for railway projects.
• Draft railway drawings (yard plans, L‑xing gates, bridges) using AutoCAD.

Eligibility

• Degree/Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or National Trade Certificate in Draughtsman (Civil) from a reputed institute, or 3‑year Diploma in AutoCAD from ITI or equivalent institute.
• Minimum six years overall professional experience in related field.
• Preferred age below 40 years.

Role & Responsibilities

CAD Operator at the project office, responsible for preparing, revising and modifying project drawings and designs. Must have experience in drafting and reviewing contract drawings before work execution, developing civil drawings (yard plans, geological plans, FOB, ROB, etc.) as per RDSO standards for railway projects, and drafting railway drawings such as yard plans, L‑xing gates, bridges, etc. using AutoCAD.

Reporting

Reports to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Regional Engineers and Assistant Regional Engineers at the project site and the OC India Headquarters.
