Job summary

CUBIC HR in Kolkata seeks an experienced CAD Operator to produce accurate 2D drawings and 3D models, prepare technical documentation, and support product development from concept through manufacturing. The role is full-time with office hours and is based at our Prince Anwasa Road office.

The candidate will require 3–5 years with AutoCAD and SolidWorks, a strong grasp of GD&T, and experience in BOM creation and production-ready documentation. Office-based role with standard timings.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a CAD Operator or CAD Drafter.
• Proven experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks for 2D and 3D design.
• Strong understanding of technical drawing principles and GD&T.
• Experience preparing BOMs and production-ready documentation.
• Attention to detail and ability to work within project deadlines.
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field is preferred.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Translate engineering sketches and specifications into accurate CAD models and drawings.
• Prepare assembly drawings, part drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs).

• Maintain drawing revisions and manage version control for CAD files.

We are seeking an experienced CAD Operator to join our engineering team at our Prince Anwasa Road office. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate 2D drawings and 3D models, preparing technical documentation, and supporting product development from concept through to manufacturing. This is a full-time role with office hours from 10:00 to 18:30. Salary range: 20,000-25,000. Required experience: 3-5 years working with AutoCAD and SolidWorks in mechanical or product design environments.
