Job summary

ALTEN India is seeking an experienced CAD Engineer to design precise transmission and linkage components using UGNX. The role requires strong mechanical design skills and a solid grasp of transmission systems for agricultural machinery, with collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and QA teams in Chennai.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of experience, a BE in Mechanical Engineering, and the ability to work on multiple projects with tight deadlines in a dynamic, global client environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CAD Engineer with a focus on mechanical design and UGNX software.
• Strong understanding of transmission and linkage systems and their application in agricultural machinery.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical data.
• Proficiency in CAD software, particularly UGNX, and familiarity with other CAD tools is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop precise CAD models of transmission and linkage parts using UGNX.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate design elements into the overall product development process.
• Conduct detailed analysis and simulations to optimize the performance and reliability of transaxle components.
• Maintain and update technical documentation for all designs and engineering changes.
• Participate in the review and approval of supplier parts and components for integration into our products.
• Troubleshoot design issues and provide technical support to manufacturing and quality assurance teams.
• Stay current with the latest CAD technologies and industry trends to enhance design efficiency.
• Contribute to the development of design standards and best practices within the engineering team.
• Support the engineering team in project planning and execution, ensuring timely delivery of components.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to refine design processes and methodologies.

Qualification Criteria
