Job summary

Tetra Engineers in Pune is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to develop tractor and agricultural machinery components using NX CAD / UG NX. The role involves vehicle integration, 3D/2D modeling, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure manufacturability and performance.

You will contribute to prototype development, testing, and design verification, while driving cost optimization and weight reduction initiatives in a dynamic OEM/engineering services environment.

Qualifications

• BE / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile or related engineering discipline.
• 38 years of relevant experience in Tractor, Agricultural Machinery, Automotive or Off-Highway Vehicle Design.
• NX CAD / UG NX is mandatory.
• Strong hands-on experience in Vehicle Integration, Part Modeling, Assembly Modeling, 3D Modeling and 2D Drafting.
• Experience in tractor or agricultural machinery design preferred.
• Good understanding of mechanical engineering, materials, manufacturing processes and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of component fitment, packaging and vehicle-level integration.
• Experience in OEM / Engineering Services / Product Development environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination with cross-functional teams.
• Candidates should be willing to work from Pune.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop tractor and agricultural machinery components using NX CAD / UG NX.
• Perform vehicle integration for tractor and agricultural equipment applications.
• Create and modify 3D part models, assemblies and 2D engineering drawings.
• Develop designs as per engineering specifications, standards and project requirements.
• Ensure proper fitment, packaging and integration of components.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Testing, Prototype and Supplier teams.
• Support prototype development, testing, validation and design verification.
• Identify and resolve design, fitment and integration issues during product development.
• Incorporate engineering changes and support continuous product improvement.
• Ensure designs are feasible for manufacturing, assembly and serviceability.
• Support cost optimization, weight reduction and product performance improvements.
• Maintain engineering documentation, drawings and design data as per company standards.
