Job summary

Surbana Jurong is seeking a CAD Draftsman for Hydro & Dams projects based in Gurgaon. You will provide drafting support, ensuring accurate and timely drawings in alignment with design teams.

Applicants should have a Diploma/ITI in Civil Engineering or Drafting and 3–8 years of relevant experience, with AutoCAD proficiency; Civil 3D knowledge is advantageous. Local candidates preferred for on-site work.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI in Civil Engineering or Drafting required.
• 3–8 years of relevant drafting experience in hydro, dam or water projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; Civil 3D knowledge is a plus.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, modify, and update drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop plans, sections, elevations, layouts, and details from inputs.
• Incorporate design changes and revisions into drawings.
• Coordinate with design engineers and project teams for requirements.
• Ensure drawings comply with project and CAD standards.
• Maintain drawing files, revisions, and documentation.
• Support tender, IFC, construction, and as-built drawings.
• Submit drawings on time per project schedules.

Job Description – CAD Draftsman

Division: Hydro & Dams

Location: Gurgaon

Function: Engineering / Project Support

Role Purpose

To provide CAD drafting and drawing support for Hydro & Dam projects, ensuring accurate, timely, and quality preparation of engineering drawings in coordination with design and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, modify, and update engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop plans, sections, elevations, layouts, and detailed drawings based on engineering inputs.
• Incorporate design changes, comments, and revisions into drawings.
• Coordinate with design engineers and multidisciplinary teams for drawing requirements.
• Ensure drawings comply with project standards, CAD standards, and drafting procedures.
• Maintain proper drawing files, revisions, and documentation.
• Support preparation of tender, IFC, construction, and as-built drawings.
• Ensure timely submission of drawings as per project schedules.

Qualification & Experience

• Diploma / ITI / equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or Drafting.
• 3–8 years of relevant experience, preferably in Hydro, Dam, Water Resources, or Infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Civil 3D or other relevant software will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings, layouts, sections, and detailing.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with engineers and project teams.
