Job summary

Egis is looking for a detail-oriented and organized CAD Detailer/Technician to join our transportation infrastructure team in Bengaluru, India.

You will be responsible for creating precise CAD drawings and technical specifications for bridge structures and transportation projects, collaborating with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality construction documents that meet industry standards and project requirements.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of professional experience in CAD detailing, drafting, or technical design roles.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
• Strong knowledge of bridge design, structural detailing, and transportation infrastructure principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce precise drawings.
• Strong analytical and documentation management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed CAD drawings and construction documents for bridge structures, including plans, elevations, sections, and details
• Prepare technical specifications and coordinate drawings with engineering designs and project requirements
• Analyze design information and convert complex engineering concepts into clear, accurate CAD models and documentation
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and best practices
• Collaborate with structural engineers, project teams, and clients to incorporate feedback and revisions efficiently
• Organize and maintain comprehensive drawing files, documentation, and project records in a systematic manner
• Support project schedules by delivering drawings and documentation on time without compromising quality
• Ensure all CAD work adheres to company standards, naming conventions, and quality control procedures
• Communicate technical information clearly to team members and stakeholders
• Stay current with CAD software updates, tools, and industry best practices in bridge design and detailing

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret engineering designs and convert them into detailed CAD documentation
• Proficiency in organizing and managing technical files, documentation, and project information
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to work efficiently and meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
• Experience with bridge or infrastructure projects is preferred
• Familiarity with transportation infrastructure standards and design guidelines is advantageous
• Knowledge of additional design software or visualization tools is a plus
