Job summary

The role requires 2–5 years of civil CAD experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation, and strong communication and organizational skills to manage multiple projects efficiently.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of professional experience in civil CAD design or transportation engineering projects.
• Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation.
• Strong knowledge of transportation infrastructure design principles and traffic engineering standards.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and create technical drawings, blueprints, and design specifications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in reading and applying design standards and project specifications.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Familiarity with transportation design software and modeling tools (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare detailed CAD drawings and designs for transportation infrastructure projects, including road layouts, traffic management systems, and highway designs.
• Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and project requirements to create accurate technical documentation.
• Utilize CAD software to model transportation systems and infrastructure components with precision and efficiency.
• Analyze project data and design parameters to ensure compliance with transportation engineering standards and regulations.
• Coordinate with civil engineers and project stakeholders to incorporate design modifications and updates into CAD models.
• Maintain organized project files and documentation, ensuring all drawings are properly labeled, versioned, and archived.
• Review and verify CAD drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to design standards before submission.
• Assist in preparing project presentations and technical reports that incorporate CAD visualizations and design data.
• Stay current with industry best practices, software updates, and transportation design methodologies.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to CAD software and coordinate with IT support when necessary.
