Job summary

RBZ Jewellers Ltd. is seeking an experienced CAD Designer to develop production‑ready 3D CAD models for jewellery, translating approved concepts into technically feasible designs.

The role collaborates with Design, NPD and Manufacturing teams to ensure CAD quality, accuracy and timely delivery, with emphasis on Gold and Polki pieces and production feasibility.

Qualifications

• Must have formal education in jewellery CAD/design or related field.
• 5–10 years of Jewellery CAD Design experience with a focus on Gold and Polki.
• Strong knowledge of jewellery construction, proportions, and manufacturing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of 3D CAD models based on approved concepts and design briefs.
• Develop CAD across rings, earrings, pendants, necklaces, bracelets, bangles and other categories.
• Ensure CAD accuracy for casting, stone setting, polishing and assembly; review revisions.
• Coordinate with Design, NPD, Manufacturing and Quality teams to meet timelines.
• Maintain records of CAD files, revisions, approvals and documentation.

Job description

The CAD Designer will be responsible for developing accurate and production-ready 3D CAD models for jewellery, translating approved concepts and sketches into technically feasible designs.

The role will work closely with Design, NPD and Manufacturing teams and will be responsible for ensuring CAD quality, design accuracy, manufacturability, weight control and timely execution.

Strong knowledge of Gold and Polki jewellery is essential for this role.

• Lead the development of 3D CAD models based on approved concepts, sketches and design briefs.
• Handle CAD development across rings, earrings, pendants, necklaces, bracelets, bangles and other jewellery categories.
• Work extensively on Gold and Polki jewellery, ensuring appropriate construction, proportions and detailing.
• Ensure accuracy of dimensions, metal thickness, stone sizes, setting requirements, weight and overall proportions.
• Review and implement CAD revisions based on inputs from Design, NPD, Manufacturing and Quality teams.
• Ensure designs are technically feasible for casting, stone setting, polishing, assembly and production.
• Coordinate with Design and NPD teams to understand requirements, priorities and development timelines.
• Review CAD models and identify technical or manufacturing limitations before production.
• Support preparation of renders, technical drawings and product specifications wherever required.
• Maintain proper records of CAD files, revisions, approvals and design documentation.
• Ensure CAD development is completed within defined quality and delivery timelines.
• Support and guide CAD team members on technical requirements and design execution, wherever required.
• Maintain confidentiality of jewellery designs, CAD files and product concepts.

Educational & Experience Requirements

Qualification:

• Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Jewellery Design, CAD Design, Jewellery Manufacturing or a related field.
• Relevant professional CAD training/certification will be an advantage.

Experience:

• 5–10 years of relevant experience in Jewellery CAD Design.
• Strong experience in Gold and Polki jewellery is mandatory.

Technical Skills & Candidate Profile

• Strong working knowledge of Rhino, Matrix, JewelCAD, ZBrush or similar jewellery CAD software.
• Strong understanding of Gold and Polki jewellery construction, proportions and manufacturing requirements.
• Knowledge of stone setting, metal thickness, weight control and production feasibility.
• Ability to develop accurate and production-ready CAD models.
• Good understanding of jewellery manufacturing processes including casting, setting, polishing and assembly.
• Experience in reviewing CAD designs and resolving technical/manufacturing issues.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with Design, NPD, Manufacturing and Quality teams.
• Experience in handling multiple CAD projects and delivering within defined timelines.
• Candidates with strong Gold & Polki jewellery manufacturing/CAD exposure will be preferred.
