Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Cable Design Engineer in India to lead HV/LV cable design, installation planning, and engineering for major infrastructure projects. The role covers design calculations, route surveys, and jointing/termination coordination.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of hands-on experience in high voltage cable systems, including trenching, installation methods, and, if available, submarine cables. CYMCAP experience is valuable for design validation.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in cable design for HV/LV systems
• Hands-on design, sizing, and routing for HV cables

Responsibilities

• End-to-end cable engineering: design calculations, routing surveys, installation methodologies
• Coordinate jointing and termination works for large-scale projects
• Perform cable laying methods, trenching, duct bank and pulling calculations
• Carry out route and desktop surveys and sub-marine cable experience is a plus
• Utilize CYMCAP and similar software for design validation

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cable Design Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in the design, installation, and engineering of high-voltage and extra-high-voltage power cables. The role involves end-to-end cable engineering activities, including design calculations, route surveys, installation methodologies, and coordination of jointing and termination works for large-scale infrastructure projects.

• Voltage levels 132kV, 275kV, 400kV and HVDC 500Kv.
• Type of insulation.
• Installation and Laying.
