Job summary

Cytiva in Pune, India is seeking a Buyer/Planner to plan material requirements, procure materials and services, and ensure timely availability for manufacturing. You will run MRP, manage purchase orders, monitor supplier performance, and resolve issues to meet production and delivery targets.

On-site role reporting to the Procurement and Supply Chain Manager in Custom Engineering. You should have 5-10 years in procurement or supply chain, a Bachelor's degree, and ERP experience (Oracle or SAP).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Commerce, or related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in procurement, planning, or supply chain operations.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Raise and manage purchase orders for production and indirect materials. Run MRP and convert material demand into purchase orders.
• Monitor supplier performance and expedite critical deliveries. Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, engineering, logistics, and sourcing teams.
• Maintain optimum inventory levels and safety stock. Ensure material availability to meet production schedules and customer commitments.
• Resolve supplier quality, delivery, and invoice issues.
• Support new product introductions and engineering changes.

The Buyer/ Planner is responsible for to plan material requirements, procure materials and services, and ensure timely availability of components to support manufacturing while achieving quality, cost, inventory, and delivery objectives.

This position reports to the Procurement and Supply chain Manager and is part of the Custom Engineering department at Cytiva based in Pune and will be an on-site role. At Cytiva, our vision is to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.
