Job summary

Aggreko plc in Pune is seeking a Buyer – Operational Procurement to support manufacturing operations and the Global Supply Hub. You will convert approved requisitions into purchase orders, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure material availability for production and projects.

Ideal candidates have 3–8 years in procurement, experience with ERP systems (SAP or Oracle), and a track record of managing suppliers and purchase orders in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, materials management, or supply chain.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent.
• Experience managing suppliers and purchase orders.
• Knowledge of logistics and import/export processes is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Convert approved requisitions into purchase orders and issue them to suppliers, tracking acknowledgements and on-time delivery.
• Coordinate supplier communication regarding order status, expedite critical orders, and resolve day-to-day procurement issues.
• Collaborate with Planning and Production to ensure material availability and support inventory optimization.
• Coordinate with Logistics and EXIM teams for shipment tracking and customs documentation.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and support performance reviews with accurate reporting.
• Maintain procurement transactions in ERP systems and ensure policy compliance and audit readiness.

Bring your energy to Aggreko as Buyer – Operational Procurement. The Buyer - Operational Procurement is responsible for executing day-to-day procurement activities to support Aggreko India's manufacturing operations and Global Supply Hub requirements. The role ensures timely conversion of approved demand into purchase orders, effective supplier follow-up, order management, and material availability to support production, projects, and customer commitments.

What you’ll do:

• Operational Procurement Execution: Convert approved purchase requisitions into purchase orders, ensure timely issuance to suppliers, monitor acknowledgements, and proactively follow up to ensure on-time delivery.

• Order Management & Supplier Coordination: Manage supplier communication regarding order status and delivery schedules, expedite critical orders, coordinate recovery plans for delays, and resolve day-to-day procurement and supply issues.

• Material Availability & Inventory Support: Collaborate with Planning and Production teams to understand material requirements, monitor shortages, and ensure timely availability of materials while supporting inventory optimization.

• Logistics & Import/Export Coordination: Coordinate with Logistics and EXIM teams for timely movement of materials, support shipment tracking and delivery coordination, and ensure accurate procurement documentation for customs.

• Supplier Performance Management: Track supplier delivery performance against commitments, escalate performance issues as needed, and support supplier performance reviews through accurate reporting and data analysis.

• System & Process Compliance: Maintain accurate procurement transactions within ERP systems, ensure compliance with procurement policies, delegated authority limits, and internal controls, and support procurement audits and reporting requirements.

You are:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration

• 3-8 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Materials Management, or Supply Chain.

• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

• Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent.

• Experience managing suppliers and purchase orders.

• Knowledge of logistics and import/export processes is desirable.
