Husky Technologies TM in Chennai, India is seeking a procurement specialist with experience in industrial purchasing. You will communicate daily demand to suppliers, manage delivery dates in our ERP system (BaaN), and ensure commitments are met to support manufacturing operations.

The role requires post-secondary education and several years of purchasing experience in a fast-paced industrial environment. Strong data analysis skills, ERP proficiency and excellent communication are essential for

• Post-secondary education preferred.
• Several years of purchasing experience in an industrial, fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components is an asset.
• Ability to understand mechanical drawings, electrical and hydraulic schematics preferred.
• Knowledge of business processes.
• General knowledge regarding supplier agreements and intellectual property.
• Proficient in ERP and MS Office; able to conduct data analysis.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving attitude.
• Effective time management.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilidades

• Communicate daily demand to suppliers using Material Requirement Planning
• Ensure supplier delivery dates are provided and maintained in our ERP System (BaaN)
• Ensure supplier delivery commitments are met
• Prepare documentation and coordinate return of goods as required
• Address operations emergencies and work with suppliers to expedite urgent requirements
• Communicate supplier issues to respective Sourcing Manager and Manufacturing Manager if applicable
• Manage exception messages to assist in purchase order automation
• May participate and/or conduct presentation to suppliers; and/or negotiate with suppliers
• Manage engineering changes through daily reviews of engineering change orders
• Participate in and/or may lead continuous improvement activities

Job Description

• Knowledge of business processes
• General knowledge regarding supplier agreements and intellectual property
• Proficient in computer applications (ERP, MS Office) and able to conduct data analysis
• Excellent organizational and communication skills

• Good analyzing and problem-solving skills
