Siemens Energy, Inc. seeks a procurement professional to lead the purchase and delivery of mechanical commodities (hardware, fasteners, machined parts) for aftermarket needs in the Oil and Gas industry, aligned with global sourcing and company policies.

You will coordinate with suppliers, support project teams, drive cost improvements, and ensure accurate purchasing data and timely deliveries, with SAP experience and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any stream or equivalent experience.
• Experience with mechanical components like hardware, fasteners, machined parts per drawings for aftermarket Oil & Gas.
• Ability to take ownership and work with minimal direction.
• Excellent customer service and English communication at all audience levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead purchase and delivery of mechanical commodities (hardware, fasteners, machined parts) for aftermarket needs.
• Establish partnerships with vendors; maintain data integrity in purchasing systems.
• Coordinate with suppliers to meet project and technical requirements; involve key suppliers in design/manufacturing.
• Contribute to cost improvement and supplier performance evaluation.
• Support project management during proposal and order processing; ensure compliance with global purchasing policy.
• Handle vendor delivery performance and back up other buyers when needed.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Purchase mechanical components from global suppliers for Oil and Gas Industry at the best savings and value for the Company and affiliates.
• Establish working partnership and good relations with vendors. Maintains the integrity of purchasing data on the computer-based planning system with accurate transactions.
• Coordinates with suppliers to meet customer technical requirements and the requirements of the Project and ensures these requirements are clearly defined and communicated. Coordinates participation of key suppliers in the technical design and manufacturing process.
• Participates in an effective cost improvement and savings program for purchased systems. Evaluates supplier performance using the company supplier rating model and participates in continuous improvement efforts with suppliers.
• Supports project management efforts during the proposal and order processing stages, Complete purchasing work aligned with Company Global Purchasing Policy. Implement to accounting rules and procedures with respect to purchasing in terms of pricing, process and payments.
• Handle vendor delivery performance and proactively prevent and lead supplier defects with each of your vendors. Act as a back up to other buyers that are out of the office.

What You Bring

• Experience in mechanical components like hardware’s, fasteners, machined parts acc. to drawing, valves & its spare parts for aftermarket requirement in Oil and Gas Industry, Global sourcing import experience. Previous experience in SAP as user.
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in any stream or its equivalent of experience industry or engineering environment. With shown experience within function or industry
• Ability to take ownership, think independently and perform tasks with minimal direction.
• Validated excellent customer service, written and verbal communication and addressing a variety of audiences in English language.
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience of purchasing fundamentals including solicitation of bids, negotiation, and contract formation.
• Successfully able to participate in teams and partnership multi-functionally. Ability to assess and establish priorities for self and others, demonstrate flexibility and understand/communicate sense of urgency.
