Job summary

Ad Astra Consultants is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to design programs, processes, procedures, and methods from the ground up. You will partner with technical teams to develop the best solution for business problems, build consensus among cross-functional teams, develop systems vision and roadmaps, and demonstrate understanding of application systems.

You shadow clients, understand their business needs, identify pain points, and recommend solutions based on business analysis.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in ServiceNow and software asset management.
• Experience designing programs, processes and procedures from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Work with engineering teams across functions to drive the design, development, and recommendation of systems and work processes that help employees work faster and more efficiently.
• Partner with key business stakeholders to understand their business processes and requirements to come up with robust solutions to vague problems.
• Synthesize and document the business strategy and influence the design of features that improve the reliability of applications and systems by integrating feedback from cross-functional teammates.
• Listen to and translate business needs into high-level technical specifications and contribute to building solutions for multi-dimensional but defined problems that are reliable, scalable, and secure enough to work with the size and scope of the company.
• Identify priorities and the roadmap for meaningful improvements in business analysis and cross-function execution.
• Collaborate with internal business teams and/or third-party vendor teams to contribute to the overall vision, system requirements, and plan the delivery roadmap.
• Take ownership over every part of a project as a subject matter expert, continue to track and maintain progress, mitigate risks, deal with unpredictability, delegate or keep teams and clients updated, and see the big picture.

Description:

As a Business Systems Analyst, you design programs, processes, procedures and/or methods from the ground up and are accountable for both execution and direction for a portfolio of related projects. You drive project work by partnering with technical teams to develop the best solution for the business problem, building consensus among cross-functional teams, developing systems vision and roadmaps, and demonstrating understanding of application systems. You shadow clients, understand their business needs, identify their pain points, and recommend solutions based on business analysis. You are a subject matter expert in your relevant business domain(s), industry, and proficient in our product and technology knowledge including but not limited to, data modeling, integration pattern, systems design, and technology stack choice.

Responsibilities include:
