The role involves identifying potential customers, researching market opportunities, analyzing competitors and industries, and converting research into actionable insights for sales and business development teams.

This is a business-focused research role that combines market intelligence, customer research, data analysis, lead generation, and sales support.

Key ResponsibilitiesMarket & Business Research

• Conduct detailed market and business research within the Industrial Automation and Manufacturing sectors.
• Identify potential OEMs, machine builders, manufacturers, and industrial customers.
• Research emerging automation applications, manufacturing investments, and growth opportunities.
• Analyze market trends, customer segments, industry developments, and competitive landscapes.
• Identify high-potential industries and organizations for business expansion.

Lead Generation & Customer Intelligence

• Build and maintain databases of prospective customers and target organizations.
• Research key decision-makers, influencers, and relevant business contacts.
• Develop structured customer profiles and opportunity maps.
• Identify and qualify potential business opportunities based on defined criteria.
• Support sales teams with relevant and actionable prospect information.

Sales & Business Development Support

• Generate qualified leads and provide market intelligence to sales teams.
• Support customer acquisition initiatives through data-driven research.
• Coordinate and facilitate introductory meetings between prospective customers and business development teams.
• Track identified opportunities and support pipeline development.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Prepare customer intelligence reports, market research reports, and opportunity assessments.
• Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential customer segments.
• Prepare dashboards and reports using Advanced Excel and Power BI.
• Maintain accurate and updated CRM/customer databases.
• Ensure data quality, completeness, and usability for business decision-making.

Industry & Competitive Intelligence

• Track developments in Industrial Automation, Motion Control, Drives, Manufacturing, and Industry 4.0.
• Monitor competitor activities, market movements, new applications, and emerging technologies.
• Identify potential business opportunities arising from industry investments and technological developments.
