Job summary

The KariGhars, a Bengaluru-based interior home specialist, is seeking a Finance Manager (CA Qualified). This hands-on role covers financial planning & analysis, cash flow, collections, budgeting, and controllership across Bengaluru and Gurugram, with close collaboration with Sales, Design, Execution, Purchase and Operations.

You will lead ERP migration from Tally to Zoho, build MIS dashboards in Excel/Sheets, and drive project profitability and KPI reporting to enable sharper business decisions.

Role Overview

The Business Finance Manager will play a critical role in strengthening the business finance function at The KariGhars.

This is a hands-on role involving financial planning and analysis, collections, cash flow management, project profitability, MIS, budgeting, forecasting, controllership, and process improvement.

You will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams including Sales, Design, Execution, Purchase, and Operations to improve financial visibility, strengthen cash discipline, track business performance, and drive better financial decision-making across Bengaluru and Gurugram operations.

Key Responsibilities

Business Finance & Planning

• Own collection planning and tracking, ensuring adherence to collection SOPs and achievement of monthly and annual targets
• Monitor customer collections against project milestones and drive closure of overdue receivables
• Manage day-to-day cash flow and liquidity planning across business locations
• Prepare and review location-wise MIS for Bengaluru and Gurugram covering both cash and accounting performance
• Track project-level revenue, costs, margins, and profitability and highlight deviations requiring business action
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and company-wide expense planning
• Lead the Annual Operating Plan and support target-setting across business functions
• Track targets versus actual performance and provide actionable insights to leadership
• Own incentive workings including calculation logic, SOPs, validations, and payout processing
• Review business dashboards and reports maintained by internal and external teams for accuracy and relevance

Controllership & Financial Reporting

• Own the monthly books closure process and ensure closure within defined timelines
• Maintain and review financial statement schedules and supporting workings
• Manage deferred revenue workings, including monthly movement and reconciliation
• Review accounting entries and financial data across Bengaluru and Gurugram operations
• Maintain and continuously improve finance trackers, including accurate nature-wise mapping of transactions
• Support advance tax workings and other management-level financial analysis
• Coordinate with statutory auditors and internal stakeholders for timely audit closure
• Ensure operational and accounting data remain reconciled and aligned

ERP, MIS & Process Improvement

• Drive the ongoing migration from Tally to Zoho, including data validation, process mapping, reconciliation, and implementation
• Build and improve MIS, dashboards, trackers, and management reports using Excel and Google Sheets
• Identify opportunities to automate recurring finance processes and improve reporting efficiency
• Build and continuously refine finance SOPs, controls, and review mechanisms
• Strengthen data integrity and ensure consistency across operational and financial systems

Commercial & Cross-Functional Finance

• Review customer and vendor agreements from a commercial and financial risk perspective
• Partner with Sales, Design, Execution, Purchase, and Operations teams to ensure financial alignment with on-ground business activity
• Review estimate trackers, payment trackers, sales MIS, project margins, collection trackers, and other operational data from a finance perspective
• Identify financial and commercial risks early and work with respective teams to drive closure
• Provide leadership with actionable insights on collections, cash flow, margins, costs, and overall business performance

Education & Experience

Qualification:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory

Experience:

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in Business Finance, FP&A, Commercial Finance, Controllership, or a similar role
• Strong hands‑on experience in MIS, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, working capital, and financial analysis
• Experience in project‑level profitability and cost analysis will be strongly preferred
• Hands‑on expertise in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Tally, and Zoho Books
• Experience in project‑based industries such as interior design, construction, real estate, contracting, or similar businesses will be preferred
• Exposure to multi‑location business operations will be an advantage

Skills Required

• Strong financial and analytical understanding with the ability to connect operational data with financial outcomes
• Good understanding of cash flow, working capital, project profitability, and management reporting
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills with strong comfort working with large datasets
• Ability to independently analyse numbers and identify business issues rather than only prepare reports
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work closely with multiple cross‑functional teams
