AimBig Employment Pty Ltd seeks a Financial Controller for a Mumbai-based manufacturing business. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will lead the financial planning, performance management and control environment, acting as a partner to operations and senior leadership.

Responsibilities include MIS, budgeting, forecasting, P&L reporting, profitability analysis by product and unit, cost optimization, working capital and treasury, governance, dashboards, capex evaluation, and management

Qualifications

• Qualified Chartered Accountant with post-qualification experience.
• 8 to 17 years of post-qualification experience in finance.
• Strong FP&A, MIS, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Owning MIS, budgeting, forecasting, P&L reporting and variance analysis.
• Developing product-wise, customer-wise and business-unit profitability.
• Driving product costing, pricing, margin analysis and cost optimization.
• Partnering with manufacturing on BOM costing, inventory, yield, productivity and factory economics.
• Monitoring working capital, cash flow and treasury requirements.
• Reviewing commercial contracts, customer credit and payment terms.
• Strengthening financial controls, governance and management reporting.
• Developing dashboards and financial models for management decision-making.
• Supporting capex evaluation, new plants and business-expansion initiatives.
• Explain performance to MD and recommend actions in a fast-evolving environment.

Job Description

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Financial Controller will act as a business-facing finance partner and lead the financial planning and performance-management agenda. Key responsibilities will include:

• Owning MIS, budgeting, forecasting, P&L reporting and variance analysis
• Developing product-wise, customer-wise and business-unit profitability
• Driving product costing, pricing, margin analysis and cost optimization
• Partnering with manufacturing on BOM costing, inventory, yield, productivity and factory economics
• Monitoring working capital, cash flow and treasury requirements
• Reviewing commercial contracts, customer credit and payment terms
• Strengthening financial controls, governance and management reporting
• Developing dashboards and financial models for management decision-making
• Supporting capex evaluation, new plants and business-expansion initiatives
• This is a business-facing role requiring the incumbent to explain performance, anticipate future outcomes and recommend appropriate actions.

The position would have a support team.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate should be:

• A qualified Chartered Accountant
• Possessing 8 to 17 years of post-qualification experience
• Strong in FP&A, MIS, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Experienced in manufacturing finance, product costing and inventory control
• Well versed in P&L management, working capital and cash-flow planning
• Commercially oriented and capable of partnering with operations, sales, supply chain and senior leadership
• Strong in financial modelling, analytics and management presentations
• Comfortable working directly with the Managing Director
• Hands-on, agile and comfortable working in a rapidly evolving environment
• Capable of challenging business assumptions constructively

Candidates from manufacturing industry are required. Experience in capacity expansion, new-plant setup or a high-growth business would be advantageous.
