Job summary

Airbus India Private Limited is seeking a Business Finance Controller to bridge finance and business units, driving cost optimization and strategic decision support. You will lead FP&A processes, build dashboards, and publish monthly MBRs with insights for leadership.

The role requires a Chartered Accountant with 10+ years' experience in business finance partnering, strong Excel and SAP skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• CA with 10+ years of experience in finance partnering or controlling roles.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Excellent Excel skills and strong business acumen.
• Knowledge of SAP and advanced financial modelling/presentation abilities.
• Self-starter with ownership mindset and drive for continuous improvement.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep understanding of the business, cost drivers and organizational functions to drive efficient growth.
• Perform data-driven trend analysis on rate trends and key drivers; provide insights to leadership.
• Prepare Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and accurate forecasts based on business inputs.
• Publish timely management reporting, including monthly performance packs and EAC analyses.
• Create and manage business dashboards; lead discussions with business leaders on KPIs.
• Ensure cost by Nature/Cost by Destination reporting and cost governance.

Business Finance Controller Job Description:

Business Finance: -Interface between the finance function and the Business verticals and Cross functional teams to optimize costs of the various functions. Provide real-time analysis and influence strategic decision making based on financial performance and financial planning and analysis.

Job Responsibilities

• Developing deep understanding of the business, Cost drivers and related functions of the organization to drive efficient growth
• Deep dive analysis of rate/rate trends for key drivers and lead/lag indicators
• Doing data driven trend analysis for customers/operational metrics with focus on improving the shape of the P&L while highlighting key insights to leadership.
• Preparation of Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
• Accurate Forecasting per the cycle, gathering relevant inputs from Business
• Performance reporting - Plan vs Actuals and Estimate to Complete (EAC) periodically
• Preparing, managing and publishing business dashboards
• Preparation of comprehensive Monthly Business Reviews (MBR) pack ; lead discussions with Business leaders around key drivers/KPI's
• Cost by Nature reporting with high level granularity
• Ensure cost by Nature & Cost by Destination circularity
• Drive Competitiveness and Cost consciousness across organization
• Ensure adequate invoicing mechanism in place in adherence to revenue recognition standards and group policy
• Adherence to month close/year end close process for cost actualisation
• Stakeholder Management & working closely with the regional business teams
• Run weekly reviews with for the regions with business stakeholders and Central Finance/Functional finance counter parts
• Creating processes for new initiatives and improving existing ones with focus on governance & cost leakage
• Run automation initiatives for process streamlining & Improvements
• Assist with ad-hoc analysis/Business case creation on various projects as and when required.

Desired Candidate

• Chartered Accountant with 10+ year of exp ;
• Previous experience as business finance partner role is required
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with and influence cross functional teams
• Strong Excel Skills and good business acumen
• Knowledge of SAP
• Strong Financial modelling and presentation skills
• Self-starter who can take ownership of deliverables with minimal direction and develop new ways of approaching business problems
• Continuous improvement attitude and fast learning ability
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
