Job summary

Womennovator is seeking a dynamic Business Development professional to spearhead growth in its sustainability and ESG vertical. You will identify opportunities, build client relationships with corporates, foundations, and government bodies, and design tailored ESG offerings aligned with client needs.

The role requires deep knowledge of ESG frameworks (BRSR, GRI, CSRD, SASB, TCFD), strong proposal and negotiation skills, and the ability to translate insights into scalable, impact-driven solutions

Qualifications

• 3-10 years of experience in business development, sustainability advisory, CSR or ESG services.
• Strong understanding of ESG frameworks (BRSR, GRI, CSRD, SASB, TCFD).
• Proven track record in proposal development, client acquisition, and partnership management.
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to translate sustainability insights into business opportunities.
• Analytical mindset with knowledge of ESG market trends and impact measurement.
• Experience with corporates, consulting firms, NGOs, or ESG-tech platforms.

Responsibilities

• We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development professional to drive growth in our sustainability and ESG-focused business vertical. The role requires a deep understanding of sustainability trends, ESG frameworks, CSR regulations, and impact-driven solutions. The candidate will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building strong client relationships, designing tailored sustainability offerings, and positioning the organization as a trusted partner for ESG, CSR, and sustainability mandates.

Requirements

• Key Responsibilities Identify and develop new business opportunities in sustainability, ESG advisory, CSR consulting, and impact-focused services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporates, foundations, government bodies, ESG rating agencies, and implementation partners.
• Develop tailored proposals, pitches, and strategic offerings aligned with client needs and sustainability goals.
• Lead end-to-end business development cycle: research, outreach, presentations, negotiations, and closures.
• Collaborate with internal teams to design impactful sustainability solutions, ESG roadmaps, BRSR-aligned strategies, carbon management services, and social impact programs.
• Stay updated on sustainability regulations, reporting requirements, industry benchmarks, and emerging market opportunities.
• Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and strategic meetings.
• Drive revenue growth through strategic partnerships and long-term client engagements.
• 3 10 years of experience in business development, sustainability advisory, CSR consulting, ESG services, or related sectors.
• Strong understanding of ESG frameworks (BRSR, GRI, CSRD, SASB, TCFD) and CSR ecosystem.
• Proven track record in proposal development, client acquisition, and partnership management.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to translate sustainability insights into business opportunities and impactful solutions.
• Analytical mindset with an understanding of market trends in ESG, climate, sustainability, and impact measurement.
• Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Social Impact, Business, or related fields.
• Certifications in ESG, CSR, sustainability reporting, carbon management, or social auditing.
• Experience working with corporates, consulting firms, NGOs, or ESG-tech platforms.

Role Objective

To expand the sustainability portfolio by developing high-value client relationships, designing market-relevant sustainability offerings, and driving revenue growth through impactful and scalable sustainability solutions.
