Job summary

Apac Sourcing Solutions, Head Office Gurgaon, India, seeks an experienced Business Development Manager / Assistant Manager Exports to lead international chemical exports to USA, Canada, and EU markets. You will drive end-to-end export operations and new business development from a leadership position while coordinating with sourcing, QA/QC, regulatory, and supply chain teams.

The ideal candidate has 6–10 years in chemical exports, strong leadership, and in-depth knowledge of export

Business Development Manager / Assistant Manager

Location: Head Office, Golf Course Road, Gurgaon, India (Global Role USA, Canada & EU Markets)

We are a global sourcing, merchant export, and CDMO organization operating across 15 Asian countries, supplying strategic raw materials to customers in the USA, Canada, and EU. As part of our rapid global expansion, we are looking for high-caliber professionals in international chemical exports and overseas market development to strengthen our exports leadership team.


We work with a strong ecosystem of ~2000 qualified manufacturers and ~8000 products, supported by a dedicated Supplier Relations Management (SRM) function that qualifies and validates suppliers to safeguard the entire procurement process. It caters to 56 industries.


Certifications & Memberships: ISO 9001:2015, EcoVadis compliant; Member of Association of Chemical Distributors (North America); CII; Chemexcil; Indian Chemical Council (ICC).


Role: Manager / Assistant Manager Exports


You will lead a team of 5 to 10 export professionals responsible for managing international customers across the USA, Canada, and EU while driving overseas business development and end-to-end export operations for chemicals and related products. This is a leadership role requiring strong people management capabilities along with expertise in global sales, customer relationship management, export execution, and cross-functional coordination.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 5 to 10 professionals handling international customers, key accounts, export coordination, and day-to-day business operations.

  • Drive team performance, customer engagement, business growth, and timely execution of export orders.

  • Develop and expand overseas markets (USA, Canada, EU) for chemical and pharmaceutical raw materials.

  • Build and manage relationships with global customers, distributors, and channel partners.

  • Handle end-to-end export operations: inquiry to execution, documentation, logistics, and compliance.

  • Work closely with sourcing, QA/QC, regulatory, and supply chain teams.

  • Drive product positioning, commercial negotiations, and margin optimization.

  • Track global demand-supply trends, pricing, and regulatory changes.

  • Support new product introductions and CDMO project commercialization.

  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, INCOTERMS, and documentation norms.


Eligibility & Preferred Background

Education:



  • B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry

  • B.Tech / M.Tech in Chemical Engineering


Experience:


6 to 10 years of hands‑on experience in:



  • Chemical exports

  • Overseas market development

  • International sales / product management in chemicals

  • Leading customer-facing export or international sales teams


Strong Preference For


  • Experience in Specialty Chemicals, APIs, Intermediates, or CDMO

  • Practical exposure to USA, EU, and Canadian export markets

  • Candidates with actual export execution and client‑facing experience

  • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing high‑performing teams


Key Skill Requirements


  • Strong understanding of chemical products and applications.

  • Proven team leadership and people management skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of export documentation, logistics, and trade compliance.

  • Excellent commercial, negotiation, and communication skills.
