Job summary

Smith + Nephew is seeking a Business Continuity Analyst in Pune, India. You will help implement global BCM strategies to ensure quick and effective recovery from disruptions across sites and business units.

You will support Business Impact Analyses, Risk Assessments, BC Plan development, and Crisis Management activities while collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing BCM education and awareness. This role reports to the Director, Global Business Resiliency & Continuity Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Operations, Risk/Assurance or related fields.
• Certifications: CBCP or CBCI; will consider ABCP or AMBCI with plan to upgrade to CBCI/CBCP within 1 year.
• 5+ years in business continuity planning, disaster recovery, crisis management, emergency management, or risk management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver BCM SME consultative services to global teams; facilitate BIAs and risk assessments and support BC plan development and reviews.
• Assist in training, configuration, and maintenance of Everbridge for global administrators.
• Develop, review, and enhance BCM policies, processes, guidelines and tools.
• Prepare governance and management reports for BCM Steering Committee, Operations Leadership, Crisis Management Team, Audit, etc.
• Collaborate with DR, ERM, HSE, Supply Chain, Facilities, Communications, and other teams on integrated programs.
• Support sites during significant incidents/crises (weather, conflicts, cyber-attacks, pandemics, etc.).

Business Continuity Analyst (Pune - India)

This role is responsible for assisting in implementing the global Business Continuity Program's strategies and processes across S+N sites and business units to ensure a site or function can recover quickly and effectively from business interrupting incidents. The Business Continuity Analyst will work directly with business teams to provide BCM professional practices including, but not limited to BC Education and Awareness; Business Impact Analyses (BIA); Risk Assessments; BC Plan development; Crisis Management support; Training & Exercise support; program maintenance; etc. This role reports to the Director, Global Business Resiliency & Continuity Management.

What will you be doing?

• Deliver Business Continuity & Resiliency SME consultative and customer service to global matrix business teams : Facilitate Business Impact Analyses and BC Risk Assessments; support site and function team leaders in BC Plan development and maintenance; conduct BC Plan reviews; provide guidance for annual BC Plan exercises; educate site and function teams on BC Program concepts.
• Assist with the training, configuration, implementation and maintenance of S+N's Emergency Notification System (Everbridge) to authorized administrators globally.
• Assist in the development, review, and enhancement of BC program policies, processes, guidelines, and tools.
• Assist with compiling program governance and management reports for the BCM Steering Committee, Operations Leadership, Crisis Management Team, Audit, etc.
• Collaborate with various S+N supporting teams on integrated programs, projects and initiatives (DR, ERM, HSE, Supply Chain, Facilities, Communications, etc.).
• Support local sites and business teams during significant incidents/crises (weather, conflicts/war, cyber-attacks, social unrest, pandemics, etc.) as needed.

What will you need to be Successful?

Education: Bachelor's degree (Business, Information Systems, Operations, Risk/Assurance or related fields)

Certifications: Business Continuity Certification - either CBCP or CBCI; will consider ABCP or AMBCI level with the intent of certification upgrade to CBCI or CBCP within the first year of employment.

Experience: 5+ years in business continuity planning, disaster recovery, crisis management, emergency management, or risk management
