Job Summary: The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in WNS customer engagements to understand the client business requirements and drivers, and help translate them to implementable technical requirements and user stories. They will utilize their extensive experience in data analysis and analytics, combined with deep domain understanding of the industry, to provide actionable insights and recommendations that drive business success in this sector. Industry: Retail & Consumer Goods

Candidate is expected to have exposure to one or more of the following functional areas:

• Product Development (Research, design, and development of consumer products, Product lifecycle management, Product data management)
• Manufacturing and Operations (Production and quality control for consumer goods)
• Sales and Marketing
• Supply Chain and Logistics (supply chain management, distribution, and inventory)
• Customer Relations and Support

Candidate is expected to have exposure to one or more of the following Lines of Business:

• Food and Beverages: Production and sales of food and drink products.
• Apparel and Fashion: Clothing, footwear, and fashion accessories.
• Consumer Electronics: Electronics, gadgets, and appliances.
• Home and Personal Care: Household and personal care products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Domain Understanding: Demonstrate a strong understanding of the industry, its challenges, trends, and specific data needs.
• Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to extract valuable insights and trends specific to the industry.
• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, ensuring a deep understanding of domain-specific needs.
• Data Modeling: Understand data models, and help translate complex business needs into structured data solutions.
• Business Intelligence: Understand customer’s KPIs and provide analytical and business intelligence inputs to customer’s data visualizations and dashboard requirements & performance metrics.
• Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes to inform data-driven decision-making.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions and initiatives.
• Data Quality: Provide inputs to the data engineering team to help ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity within the domain.
• Software & Tools: Proficiency in analytics and Data Tools, such as Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI is desirable.
• Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations is needed.

Qualifications:

• 10-12 years of experience in business analysis, with a strong focus on data and analytics in the industry.
• Strong functional exposure to data management, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
