Job summary

Jobitus is seeking a Business Analyst to own post-origination processes in a FinTech/banking context from Mumbai. You will capture requirements, map LMS and collection workflows, define business rules for delinquencies and recoveries, and translate policies into user stories and specifications.

Responsibilities include documenting integrations with gateways, bureaus, and skip-tracers, plus writing UAT scripts and leading change management with training materials for officers and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Experience writing structured user stories in Jira/Azure DevOps.
• Ability to map workflows using Visio or PowerPoint.
• Basic database querying using SQL.

Responsibilities

• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with loan servicing, customer accounting, customer service, and collections operations to capture business requirements for post-disbursement activities.
• LMS & Collection Workflow Mapping: Map end-to-end post-origination processes including loan onboarding, amortization schedule modifications, interest calculations, fee generation, payment processing, and payoff calculations.
• Collections & Recovery Strategies: Define business rules and configuration logic for delinquency buckets, automated dunning communications (SMS/Email/Letters), promise-to-pay (PTP) tracking, charge-offs, and third-party agency assignments.
• Functional & Technical Specification: Translate servicing policies and collection strategies into user stories, functional specification documents (FSDs), and workflow diagrams for IT and configuration teams.
• Integration Specification: Document business requirements for third party integrations, such as payment gateways (ACH, credit cards, real time payments), auto-dialers, credit bureaus (delinquency reporting), and skip-tracing vendors.
• Testing & User Acceptance (UAT): Write comprehensive UAT test scripts, coordinate validation testing with accounting and operations stakeholders, and ensure correct financial calculations and ledger entry mappings.
• Change Management & Training: Create user documentation, training guides, and support the rollout of new LOS features to loan officers and operations teams.

Required Skills

• Lending Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of the post-origination lifecycle, including accounting principles, principal/interest allocations, payment processing, restructuring/modifications, delinquency tracking, and write-offs.

Qualification

• Technical Aptitude: Experience writing structured user stories in Jira/Azure DevOps, mapping workflows in Visio/PPT, and basic database querying using SQL.


• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills to successfully collaborate with both non-technical business users and core software developers.


• Bachelor's /Master's degree from an accredited institution, with degree preferred in Computer Science or Information technology systems security or related field.

No of years of Industry experience

• Experience: 5 to 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in banking or FinTech, with at least 3+ years dedicated specifically to implementing or configuring Loan Management Systems (LMS) & Collections.
