Job summary

Quess IT Solutions is seeking a Data/Business Analyst for a product-based client in Bengaluru. The role requires 2.5–6 years of experience and hands-on work in Python, SQL, and retail analytics to translate data insights into business recommendations.

Location is Bengaluru with 5 days work-from-office. Interview drive on 14-Oct-26; notice period should be Immediate Joiner. Fluency in building predictive models and presenting insights is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in a quantitative field from a reputed institution.
• Experience in retail analytics: inventory, location optimization, assortment, pricing.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; PySpark is a plus.
• Experience with predictive analytics: time series, forecasting, clustering, classification.
• Experience with visualization tools: Power BI, Tableau, QlikView; retail domain preferred.
• Experience on Azure cloud; understanding product applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication; detail-oriented; able to work under pressure.

Who are we looking for?

• Bachelors or masters degree in any quantitative discipline. Candidates from Economics, Statistics, Operations Research or Mathematics background from reputable institutions will be preferred.
• Experience of working in areas of retail like Inventory Management, Location/Space optimization, Assortment Planning, pricing, shelf placements.
• Expertise in programming language such as Python, SQL is a must and Pyspark good to have.
• Expertise in predictive analytics techniques around Optimization, classification or regression, clustering, A/B testing, Time Series, demand forecasting, Tree-based algorithms and model assembling techniques.
• Expertise in visualization tools such as Power BI, QlikView, Tableau, etc. Must have retail experience
• Experience in working in cloud platform like Azure. Should have basic idea of working on product application.
• Excellent verbal and written presentation skills Attention to detail and ability to work in high pressure environment.
• Strong drive and passion to deliver business impact through retail Analytics.
• Strong business acumen and ability to translate data insights into meaningful business recommendations.
