Job summary

Photon is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our Chennai team and contribute to a global digital platform project. You will gather and analyze business requirements, translate them into functional specifications, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires strong SDLC knowledge, data-driven decision making, and excellent communication across global cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on digital platforms, software development, or global projects.
• Strong understanding of digital platforms, SDLC, and business analysis methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with business analysis tools and software such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders, including business users, product owners, and technical teams, to elicit, document, and prioritize business and functional requirements for the global digital platform.
• Engage with global stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and goals, ensuring that the platform meets their requirements and aligns with business objectives.
• Develop comprehensive business requirement documents (BRDs), functional requirement specifications (FRSs), user stories, use cases, and process flows to guide the development and implementation of the platform.
• Conduct gap analysis to identify discrepancies between current and desired states, and propose solutions to bridge these gaps.
• Analyze data to support decision-making, including defining key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics for the platform.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend enhancements to optimize platform performance and user experience.
• Work closely with project managers, developers, UX/UI designers, and QA teams to ensure that requirements are clearly understood and implemented correctly.
• Participate in testing & validation activities by helping to develop test plans and scripts, and assist in user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Support change management efforts by helping to define and document changes in business processes, and assist in training and communication efforts.
