Responsibilities

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong data analysis and data transformation capabilities, preferably within Financial Crime, AML, KYC or Transaction Monitoring. The candidate should be able to analyse complex datasets, perform data mapping and profiling, define transformation requirements, and work closely with business and technology teams to deliver data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed data analysis to identify data gaps, inconsistencies, anomalies and quality issues.
• Conduct source-to-target data mapping and data profiling across multiple systems.
• Analyse data structures, attributes, business rules and data dependencies.
• Define and document data transformation requirements, mapping specifications and business rules.
• Support data migration and transformation programs, including source-to-target reconciliation and validation.
• Collaborate with data engineers, developers, QA teams and business stakeholders to resolve data issues.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Support data quality assessments, impact analysis, UAT and defect resolution.
• Work with Financial Crime datasets and processes, such as AML, KYC, transaction monitoring and regulatory reporting, wherever applicable.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in data analysis and data interpretation.
• Experience in data mapping, data profiling and source-to-target mapping.
• Exposure to data transformation, migration or data remediation programs.
• Strong SQL skills for querying, validating and analysing datasets.
• Experience documenting business rules, functional requirements and data specifications.

Preferred Skills

• Financial Crime, AML, KYC, sanctions screening or transaction monitoring domain experience.
• Experience with banking data, regulatory data or financial crime data platforms.
• Familiarity with ETL processes, data warehouses and data integration concepts.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Candidates must demonstrate practical experience in data analysis, data mapping/profiling and data transformation initiatives. Financial Crime Operations experience alone will not be sufficient without strong data-focused BA capabilities.
