Job summary

Manipal Technologies is seeking a Business Analyst to build data dashboards, write advanced SQL, and analyze user behavior to drive product and revenue growth. You will influence product roadmaps and coordinate with cross-functional teams across development and marketing.

The role requires 5–7 years in BFSI-related analytics, strong documentation, and SDLC familiarity. You will develop go-to-market materials and provide insights to optimize partnerships and services.

Qualifications

• 5 - 7 years of Business Analyst experience in Banking/Payments/FinTech (BFSI) domains.
• Ability to translate ideas and requirements into functional specifications and workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with client handling abilities.
• Experience documenting business processes and product research needs.
• Solid knowledge of SDLC methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proven ability to build and present documentation for various product needs.

A Business Analyst builds data dashboards, writes advanced SQL queries, and analyzes user behavior or merchant funnels to drive product and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Responsible for Product roadmap development and implementation activities.
• 2. Responsible for development of marketing collaterals.
• 3. Responsible for managing solution requirements of key clients.
• 4. Responsible for requirement gathering & elicitation, development of models of business requirements.
• 5. Responsible for documenting & analysis of business processes.
• 6. Write advanced SQL queries to study large datasets, user funnels, retention, and feature adoption.
• 7. Build and maintain automated Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards and MIS reports for key metrics.

Skills Required

• 1. Sound understanding of at least 2 or more business analytics in Banking & Financial Services, Compliance, Risk and Application Security functions.
• 2. Technical expertise and business understanding and work with cross-functional teams to build
• products.
• 3. Ability to translate ideas, concepts, requirements into functional specifications, work flows and similar documents.
• 4. Ability to create effective documentation for various product research & planning needs.

Technical Functional Proficiency Required

• 1. Strong expertise in SQL and data visualization tools (such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker). Proficiency in Python, R, or advanced Excel is frequently preferred.
• 2. Driving a solution set across development teams (primarily Development, and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, product contract, and positioning.
• 3. Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.
• 4. Analyzing potential partner relationships for the product. Define the product strategy and road map
• 5. Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product,
• 6. Perform product demos to customers.
• 7. Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
• 8. Accomplishes company goals by exploring opportunities to add value and taking charge of new requests.

Educational Qualifications

• 1. A degree in Engineering (B.E./B. Tech) or a management background (MBA/PGDM) depending on the specific business vertical.

Experience Level (If applicable)

• 1. 5 - 7 years of Business Analyst experience spent in the Banking/ Payment / BFSI Domain / FinTech industry.
