Job Title: Power BI Developer with Business Analyst Responsibilities

Essential Experience & Skills

• Extensive experience building solutions across Azure, including Power BI using Power Query and DAX
• Strong coding skills with the ability to write and debug ad hoc queries using tools such as Python
• Solid knowledge of T-SQL, including writing complex and efficient SQL queries and stored procedures
• Exposure to QlikView and its reporting functionalities
• Working knowledge of REST APIs and a basic understanding of Machine Learning concepts
• Producing and automating the delivery of key business metrics
• Managing secure data access and ensuring governance is in place
• Actively collaborating with stakeholders to understand data issues, tracing data lineage, and proposing data cleansing and quality improvement initiatives
• Advising on technical future-proofing and platform capacity planning
• Conducting performance tuning and cost optimization of reporting platforms
• A self-starter capable of taking end-to-end ownership of BI/reporting projects
• Experience mentoring junior team members to improve overall reporting quality and analytics maturity
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics data structures (preferred)

Business Analyst Responsibilities

• Eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements for BI/reporting solutions
• Facilitating discussions with business stakeholders to understand pain points, KPIs, and reporting goals
• Translating business needs into technical specifications and user stories for development
• Acting as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring alignment throughout the project lifecycle
• Performing gap analysis between current data capabilities and desired reporting outcomes
• Supporting UAT (User Acceptance Testing), validating deliverables against requirements
• Driving continuous improvement in reporting processes and BI adoption across the organization
• Providing input on data governance and ensuring the integrity and usability of reported data
