This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Analyst, located in Chennai. The Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and developing business requirements. The role includes engaging with stakeholders to gather and document business needs, performing data analysis, and ensuring that solutions meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows.
Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Manage and refine product backlogs using JIRA, ensuring clear prioritization and traceability of tasks.
Work across Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall project methodologies as required.
Facilitate sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups in Agile projects.
Assist in preparing test plans, reviewing test cases, and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Analyze existing business processes and identify areas for improvement or automation.
Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure alignment and clarity.
Support project managers in project planning, timeline estimation, and delivery tracking.
Create reports and dashboards for business insights and performance tracking.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must have 2–3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in software or technology projects.
Proven experience with JIRA for requirement management, backlog grooming, and task tracking.
Strong understanding of both Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall development methodologies.
Excellent documentation skills using tools such as MS Office, Confluence, or similar.
Experience with use case modeling, process mapping, and creating workflow diagrams.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented with good problem-solving and analytical skills.
