Job summary

IndusInd General Insurance (IGI) is seeking a Business Analyst with 3–5 years of General Insurance experience to drive digital transformation initiatives. The role focuses on requirement gathering, solution design, and supporting AI and RPA across insurance operations.

You will collaborate with business, technology, QA, and vendors to deliver projects, and help enhance digital journeys through Motor, Health, Travel, Claims, Servicing, and related processes, while ensuring regulatory alignment

Role Objective

Seeking a Business Analyst with experience in General Insurance and Digital Transformation initiatives. The candidate will be responsible for requirement gathering, solution design, digital journey enhancement, and supporting AI and RPA initiatives across insurance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements through BRDs, FRDs, User Stories, and Process Flows.
• Work with business, technology, QA, and vendor teams for successful project delivery.
• Design and enhance customer and partner digital journeys across Motor, Health, Travel, Claims, Servicing, Renewals, and KYC processes.
• Support API and third-party integrations by preparing functional requirements and field mappings.
• Facilitate SIT, UAT, production rollout, and business sign-offs.
• Identify process improvement and automation opportunities using RPA technologies.
• Participate in AI/GenAI initiatives such as OCR, Chatbots, Intelligent Document Processing, Customer Service Automation, and Analytics use cases.
• Participate in Sprint/project Planning, Backlog Grooming, Requirement Prioritization, and User Story elaboration activities.
• Coordinate with business users, senior management, technology teams, vendors, and external partners to ensure alignment of business objectives and successful project outcomes.

Required Skills

• General Insurance domain knowledge (Motor, Health, Travel, Claims, Policy Servicing).
• Experience in Digital Journeys and Customer Experience initiatives.
• Understanding of APIs, integrations, and Agile methodologies.
• Exposure to AI, GenAI, OCR, RPA, or Process Automation projects.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Understanding of IRDAI regulations, KYC/CKYC, AML, compliance, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Understanding of the end-to-end insurance lifecycle including Quote, Proposal, Underwriting, Policy Issuance, Endorsements, Renewals, Claims, and Policy Servicing.

Qualification

• B.E. / BCA / MCA / MBA / Computer Science or equivalent.
• Certifications in Insurance, AI, Automation, or Business Analysis will be an added advantage.

Preferred Profile

• 3-5 years of Business Analysis experience.
• Minimum 3 years of functional Business Analysis experience within the General Insurance domain.
• Exposure to Digital Transformation, AI, Automation, or RPA initiatives.
• Experience working with business stakeholders, vendors, and delivery teams.
