Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle is seeking a BMS/IBMS IT Engineer to support and manage building management systems across campuses in Bengaluru. You will monitor servers, workstations, and field controllers, coordinate IT and cybersecurity for OT, and run patching and backup routines.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering and has 3–5 years' experience in BMS/IBMS IT infrastructure, with hands-on exposure to SCADA, PLC and industrial control systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IT or Engineering is required.
• 3–5 years in BMS/IBMS IT infrastructure or OT/IT support in commercial facilities.
• Experience with SCADA, PLC, and industrial control systems is needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain BMS servers, workstations, applications and field controller communication (BACnet, Modbus, LON, OPC).
• Manage OT IP inventory, network records, and monitor database health and growth.
• Coordinate with IT and Cybersecurity on OT vulnerabilities, VAPT and audits.
• Raise and track IHD tickets to closure.
• Maintain backups, support DR drills and verify backup integrity.
• Run scheduled OS, database and BMS software patching and upgrades under change control, and validate systems afterwards.
• Produce weekly and monthly reports: server health, database capacity, controller communication, alarms, system availability, incident trends and vulnerability status.
• Conduct remote BMS reviews across campuses (alarms, controllers, sensors, trend logs, HVAC sequences of operation, user access) and track closure.

Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering

Experience

3–5 years in BMS/IBMS IT infrastructure, building automation or OT/IT support in commercial, IT-park or critical-facility environments.

Experience with SCADA, PLC, and industrial control systems.
