Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Bengaluru seeks an IT Engineer for BMS/IBMS to monitor and maintain building management systems, coordinating OT/IT operations and cybersecurity to ensure reliable campus infrastructure.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering and 3–5 years’ experience with SCADA, PLC, and industrial control systems, plus hands-on admin of BMS servers and databases.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in BMS/IBMS IT infrastructure, building automation or OT/IT support in commercial, IT-park or critical-facility environments
• Experience with SCADA, PLC, and industrial control systems

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain BMS servers, workstations, applications and field controller communication (BACnet, Modbus, LON, OPC)
• Manage the OT IP inventory and network records, and monitor database health and growth
• Coordinate with IT and Cybersecurity on OT vulnerabilities, VAPT and audits
• Raise and track IHD tickets to closure
• Maintain backups, support DR drills and verify backup integrity
• Run scheduled OS, database and BMS software patching and upgrades under change control, and validate systems afterwards
• Produce weekly and monthly reports: server health, database capacity, controller communication, alarms, system availability, incident trends and vulnerability status
• Conduct remote BMS reviews across campuses (alarms, controllers, sensors, trend logs, HVAC sequences of operation, user access) and track closure
• Building Management System (BMS) architecture and operations; Server administration and database management; Network management and IP address administration; Cybersecurity awareness and compliance standards; Backup and recovery procedures; Patch management and system upgrades
