Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior BIM Coordinator in India to drive BIM workflows across architecture, civil, mechanical, electrical and process teams. You will serve as the SPOC from India GTSG, guiding digital transformation and ensuring interoperability and project efficiency.

The role requires strong BIM application skills, collaboration with global stakeholders and leadership in setting standards. You will mentor junior modelers, validate models, and support design optimization across projects.

Qualifications

• BE or Diploma in Mechanical / Civil Engineering (Preferred).
• 16 years of experience in CADD and Intelligent Modelling with exposure in BIM Applications (Revit/ Plant 3D / Civil 3D/ MicroStation / BIM 360 etc.), Digital Engineering, Model Management.
• Proven expertise in multidisciplinary BIM coordination across large-scale projects from Middle East Region.
• Experience with Architectural / Structural/ Mechanical drawings, developing equipment layout and site plan drawings.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of detailed 3D models and systems using advanced BIM features.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure models meet project requirements and standards.
• Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts within the models.
• Generate construction documents from the 3D models.
• Coordinate with disciplines for integrated and accurate models.
• Provide technical guidance to junior modelers and team members.
• Review and validate models for accuracy and completeness.
• Lead client coordination and review meetings with BIM process insights.
• Mentor junior modelers and promote continuous learning.

Job Description

As Senior BIM Coordinator, this role will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing BIM workflows across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring seamless coordination between various disciplines such as architecture, civil, mechanical, electrical, and process. The role requires strong expertise in BIM applications, effective collaboration with global stakeholders, and the ability to serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) from India GTSG. The BIM Lead will drive digital transformation in design and engineering, enhancing project efficiency, interoperability, and innovation.

• Lead the development and maintenance of detailed 3D models systems using advanced features of BIM Applications.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure models meet project requirements and standards.
• Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts within the models.
• Generate construction documents, including plans, sections, and details from the 3D models.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure integrated and accurate models.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior modelers and other team members.
• Review and validate models for accuracy and completeness.
• Attend and lead client coordination and review meetings, providing expert insights on BIM processes and project progress.
• Mentor and train junior modelers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Establish and enforce BIM standards, guidelines, and best practices across teams.
• Utilize Dynamo to automate repetitive tasks and enhance modeling efficiency.
• Manage internal and global stakeholder relationships, facilitating smooth BIM execution and project alignment.
• Demonstrate strong understanding and experience in delivering LOD 200 to 400.
• Monitor and improve design quality, accuracy, and data integrity across all BIM deliverables.
• Conduct BIM training and upskilling sessions for project teams, promoting best practices.

Qualifications

Additional Pay Range Information

CDM Smith is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This pay range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. In addition to geographic location, a candidate's salary is determined by several other factors including, but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.

Additional Compensation

All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
