Job summary

Siemens Technology and Services Private Limited in Bengaluru is seeking a BIM Modeler to support the BIM Manager and project teams in delivering compliant BIM, VDC and digital engineering deliverables across infrastructure, transportation and building projects.

You will attend coordination meetings, develop Revit models, perform clash detection, manage model health, and coordinate with vendors and stakeholders to ensure digital handover and BEP compliance.

Qualifications

• Four years minimum BIM modelling and digital engineering experience.
• Experience with infrastructure, transportation, railway or building projects.
• Certification in BIM modelling or coordination is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support BIM Manager and project team in delivering compliant BIM and digital delivery.
• Attend VDC/BIM coordination meetings to resolve design conflicts and interfaces.
• Coordinate with Civil, Architectural, M&E and System-Wide Contractors.
• Develop and update BIM models using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Manage model information within ACC/BIM 360 or other CDE platforms.
• Perform model health checks and resolve modelling issues.
• Create Revit content and parametric families in line with BEP.
• Coordinate with vendors and stakeholders on BIM content and updates.
• Support Asset Information Models (AIM) and digital handover when required.

• The BIM Modeler supports the BIM Manager and project team in delivering compliant BIM, VDC and digital engineering requirements throughout project execution.
• Attend VDC/BIM coordination meetings during design and construction phases to identify and resolve design conflicts, site constraints and multidisciplinary interface issues.
• Coordinate with Civil, Architectural, M&E and System-Wide Contractors in the exchange and consolidation of BIM models and project information.
• Develop, maintain and update BIM models in accordance with project BIM standards, the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), information management requirements and ISO 19650 principles.
• Produce and update engineering drawings, layouts and submission documents using Revit, and AutoCAD.
• Manage BIM deliverables and model information within Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, ProjectWise or other Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms.
• Perform model quality checks and ensure compliance with project modelling standards, naming conventions, coordinate systems and data requirements.
• Monitor BIM model health and resolve modelling issues identified through audits and reviews.
• Create and maintain Revit content, including parametric families, shared parameters, nested families and type catalogues, in accordance with company BIM standards.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers and project stakeholders on BIM content, model updates and digital delivery requirements.
• Support the development and maintenance of Asset Information Models (AIM) and associated asset data where required.
• Generate visualisation materials, including construction simulations, walkthroughs, animations and presentation models, to support design reviews and construction activities.
• Conduct clash detection, model review and coordination using Navisworks Manage and other BIM tools.
• Support BIM coordination activities and assist BIM Coordinators during multidisciplinary model reviews.
• Assist in engineering documentation, model administration, submission preparation, digital delivery requirements and other duties as assigned.

Your success is grounded in:

• Education & Experience
• Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building
• Services, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in BIM modelling, drafting or digital engineering within infrastructure, transportation, railway or building projects.
• Certification in BIM Modelling, BIM Coordination or Digital Engineering from a recognized institution or industry body is preferred (e.g., Singapore Building and
• Construction Authority (BCA), Autodesk, Bentley, buildingSMART or equivalent).

• Understanding of Asset Information Requirements (AIR), Asset Information Models
• (AIM) and digital handover processes is beneficial.
• Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and project priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to step up and support BIM coordination activities when required.
• Exposure to BIM 4D (construction sequencing), BIM 5D (cost integration) and BIM 6D (asset information management) is advantageous.
