Job summary

Aagento.AI is seeking a Civil Engineer / Bridge Design & GAD Engineer to join our design team in Noida. You will prepare General Arrangement Drawings (GADs) and detailed drawings for railway and highway bridges, converting survey data and design inputs into construction-ready plans.

The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of experience, strong AutoCAD 2D skills, and understanding of RCC, PSC, and steel bridge components.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering is required.
• 1-3 years of experience in civil/structural drafting or bridge-related work.
• Freshers with exceptionally strong AutoCAD and civil drawing skills may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare General Arrangement Drawings (GADs) for railway and highway bridges.
• Prepare drawings for major/minor bridges, ROBs, flyovers, underpasses and culverts.
• Prepare detailed drawings for piers, abutments, foundations and deck girders.
• Check dimensions, levels, sections and annotations for accuracy.
• Coordinate with civil/structural engineers and the drafting/design team.
• Ensure drawings comply with Indian Railways/RDSO/IRC requirements and project specs.

About the Role

We are looking for a Civil Engineer / Bridge Design & GAD Engineer to join our infrastructure engineering team and work on the preparation and automation of General Arrangement Drawings (GADs) and detailed drawings for railway and highway bridges.

The ideal candidate should have strong AutoCAD 2D skills, an understanding of bridge structures, and the ability to convert survey data, engineering inputs and design requirements into accurate, construction-ready drawings.

Experience with Indian Railways, RDSO, IRC or railway/highway bridge projects will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare General Arrangement Drawings (GADs) for railway and highway bridges.
• Prepare drawings for major/minor bridges, ROBs, flyovers, underpasses and culverts.
• Prepare detailed drawings for:
• Piers and abutments
• Foundations
• Wing walls and return walls
• Deck slabs and girders
• Bearings and expansion joints
• Approaches and retaining structures
• Drainage and protection works
• Convert survey data, design inputs and engineering calculations into accurate drawings.
• Modify drawings based on design revisions and comments from engineers, clients, consultants and railway/highway authorities.
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable Indian Railways/RDSO/IRC requirements and project specifications.
• Check dimensions, levels, sections, annotations and structural details.
• Maintain proper layers, scales, dimensions, title blocks and drawing standards.
• Prepare drawing sets for internal checking, client submission, approval and construction.
• Coordinate closely with civil/structural engineers and the drafting/design team.
• Review drawings for accuracy, consistency and constructability.
• Manage multiple drawing revisions and deliver drawings within project timelines.

Required Skills

• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
• Ability to read and understand civil and structural engineering drawings.
• Basic to good understanding of RCC, PSC and steel bridge structures.
• Understanding of bridge components and terminology.
• Knowledge of engineering drawing practices, dimensions, scales and sections.
• Ability to work with large drawing sets and multiple revisions.
• Good attention to detail and drawing accuracy.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in preparing railway/highway bridge GADs.
• Experience with drawings submitted to Indian Railways/RDSO/railway authorities.
• Knowledge of Indian Railway standards, RDSO, IRC codes and specifications.
• Experience with ROBs, flyovers, underpasses or major/minor bridges.
• Working knowledge of Civil 3D, STAAD.Pro, Revit or other CAD/structural software will be an advantage.
