Job summary

Poonawalla Fincorp is seeking an experienced branch operations lead to drive performance and profitability at the branch level. The role involves overseeing field marketing, customer engagement, KYC verification, and loan disbursal processes to ensure compliance and healthy business growth.

You will also manage vault custody, appraisal accuracy, NPAs, and team development, while increasing gold loan volumes and other product lines in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product / sales experience in gold loan or other asset products.
• Post Graduate Degree in MBA or Equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Drive and participate in field marketing activities to improve branch visibility.
• Plan, conduct and monitor branch and field level marketing activities to ensure healthy leads and business conversion.
• Focus on customer engagement and appraisal of gold ornaments with correct weight and purity as per policy and compliance.
• Joint custodian of the Vault with responsibility of safekeeping pledge ornaments.
• Verify customer documents, process loan disbursals and review application requests.
• Process foreclosure, part release, closure and interest payment transactions on customer requests.
• Authorize transactions for disbursal, foreclosure and release; collect payments.
• Maintain NPAs through follow-ups for interest collections.
• Plan for smooth branch functioning and foster team cohesiveness.
• Hire, coach, mentor and train employees with timely feedback on performance.
• Maintain quality and performance of the business; prepare reports and drive growth actions.
• Increase gold loan business and other third-party products.
• Ensure 100% process compliance in valuation and audit of pledged ornaments.
• Oversee accurate valuation and appraisal of gold ornaments per policy and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Drive & participate in field marketing activities with the team to improve branch visibility.
• Plan, conduct & monitor the branch & field level marketing activities to ensure healthy pipeline of leads resulting in business conversion & branch growth.
• Focus on customer engagement & appraisal of gold ornaments being pledged in branch with correct weight & purity assessment as per company policy and auditory compliance.
• Joint custodian of the Vault with responsibility of safekeeping of pledge ornaments as per company policy.
• Verify customer KYC documents, application requests and initiate loan disbursals.
• Process foreclosure, part release, closure, interest payment transactions based on customer requests.
• Authorize transactions for disbursal, foreclosure, release and accept customer payments.
• Responsible for keeping NPAs in control through strong follow-ups from customers for interest collections.
• Good planning abilities are required for smooth functioning of the branch & for developing cohesiveness within the company and co-workers.
• Hiring, coaching, mentoring and training employees and providing them with timely feedback on their performance.
• Maintaining quality & performance of the business, preparing various reports of the same and take necessary actions for growth of business in branch.
• Increase gold loan business plus various other third-party products.
• Responsible for correct valuation & maintenance of 100% process compliance at branch.
• Manage error-free valuation & appraisal of gold ornaments being pledged in branch with correct weight & purity assessment as per company policy and auditory compliance.
