Poonawalla Fincorp invites an experienced Branch Operations Manager to oversee overall branch operations, drive profitability and lead field marketing activities in Karnataka, India. The role requires strong leadership to build a high-performing team and ensure service excellence.

You will verify KYC, process loan disbursals, manage NPAs, and mentor staff while preparing detailed performance reports to support branch growth.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product/sales experience in gold loan or asset products.
• MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall branch operations and drive profitability.
• Lead field marketing activities to improve branch visibility.
• Plan and monitor branch marketing to generate a healthy lead pipeline and growth.
• Ensure customer engagement and accurate weight/purity assessment of pledged gold.
• Act as joint custodian of the vault and safeguard pledged ornaments as per policy.
• Verify KYC documents, process loan disbursals, and handle foreclosure and closures.
• Authorize disbursal, foreclosure, release, and accept customer payments.
• Keep NPAs under control through proactive follow-ups on interest collections.
• Hire, coach, mentor, and train staff with timely performance feedback.
• Prepare branch performance reports and take necessary actions for growth.
• Increase gold loan business and manage other third-party products.
• Ensure 100% process compliance in valuation and auditable standards.

Plan, conduct monitor the branch field level marketing activities to ensure healthy pipeline of leads resulting in business conversion branch growth. Focus on customer engagement appraisal of gold ornaments being pledged in branch with correct weight purity assessment as per company policy and auditory compliance. Joint custodian of the Vault with responsibility of safekeeping of pledge ornaments as per company policy. Verify customer KYC documents, application requests and initiate loan disbursals. Process foreclosure, part release, closure, interest payment transactions based on customer requests. Authorize transactions for disbursal, foreclosure, release and accept customer payments. Responsible for keeping NPAs in control through strong follow-ups from customers for interest collections. Good planning abilities are required for smooth functioning of the branch for developing cohesiveness within the company and co-workers. Hiring, coaching, mentoring and training employees and providing them with timely feedback on their performance. Maintaining quality performance of the business, preparing various reports of the same and take necessary actions for growth of business in branch.
