About the Role

The Branch Manager at IDFC FIRST Bank is a leadership role within the Retail Banking division, responsible for managing the overall operations, performance, and customer experience of the branch. The Branch Manager will lead a team of banking professionals, foster a high-performance culture, and collaborate across departments to achieve strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee daily branch operations including customer service, sales, and staff management.
• Develop and implement strategies to achieve branch targets and business goals.
• Monitor branch performance metrics and take corrective actions where necessary.
• Achieve overall product targets for the branch including CASA, Term Deposits, Investments, Insurance, Trade Services, Retail Assets & Business Banking products.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal policies.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships while promoting bank products and services.
• Lead, coach, and motivate branch staff to meet individual and team performance goals.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a low attrition rate within the branch.
• Ensure hiring is aligned as per the manpower budgets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance customer experience and drive growth.
• Address customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Prepare and submit periodic reports on branch activities and performance to senior management.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Support initiatives to improve operational efficiency and service quality.
• Contribute to local marketing and outreach efforts to increase brand visibility and customer acquisition.

What We Are Looking For

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Postgraduate qualifications (e.g., MBA) are preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in retail banking.
• At least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role within a banking environment.
