Job summary

Svatantra Microfin in Maharashtra seeks a Credit Officer/Underwriter for individual and business loan cases. You will log files, review Cibil reports, visit borrowers' home and business premises, perform reference checks, and ensure complete KYC and document verification.

Qualifications

• Minimum graduate and 3 years of experience as Credit Officer/Underwriter for Individual Loan/Business Loan.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong geographical knowledge.
• Local candidate preferred and verbal/written proficiency in local language is mandatory.
• Need to know how to operate Desktops/Laptops and drive a two-wheeler.

Responsibilities

• Present findings related to loan applications to Area Credit Manager.
• Review Cibil reports, housing and business pictures, bank statements, etc.
• Visit borrower residence and business premises after screening.
• Conduct telephonic and physical reference checks before processing.
• Complete PD visits and process cases within TAT at assigned branch.
• Verify documents related to KYC, ownership, financials, banking & authenticity.
• Organise monthly branch meetings to discuss product/policy changes.

Role & responsibilities

• Responsible for presenting all the findings related to loan applications to Area Credit Manager.
• Once the file has been logged in by SME RO/ABM , BCM will check the complete case such as - Cibil reports of borrowers, house and business pictures, bank statements, etc.
• Post screening the loan application, visit the residence & the business premises of borrower.
• Conduct telephonic as well as physical reference checks before sending the case for further process and decision making.
• Responsible to complete the PD visits and to process cases of assigned branch within TAT.
• Ensure proper verification of all the documents related to KYC, ownership, financial documents, banking & its authenticity.
• Organise monthly meetings within branch to discuss about the changes in product and policies with Branch team.

Preferred candidate profile
