Assort 1 Corp Services seeks a Project Engineer to lead BMS implementation projects from planning through commissioning. You will develop schedules, budgets, and requirements, coordinating with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Responsibilities include system design, hardware/software selection, integration with HVAC, lighting, and security, site surveys, testing, and documentation. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential; certifications in BMS or project management
Project Planning and Coordination: Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for BMS implementation. Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams, to define project requirements and deliverables. Conduct site assessments and surveys to understand project scope and site-specific needs. System Design and Engineering: Design and specify BMS solutions, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure. Ensure system designs comply with relevant standards, codes, and regulations. Select appropriate components such as controllers, sensors, actuators, and communication devices.
Project Execution: Oversee installation, commissioning, and testing of BMS systems. Monitor project progress to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. Troubleshoot technical issues and provide engineering solutions during implementation.
System Integration and Optimization: Integrate BMS with other building systems (e.g., HVAC, lighting, security, and fire safety). Program and configure control systems for energy efficiency and operational effectiveness. Optimize system performance based on analytics and feedback.
Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including design drawings, test protocols, and operation manuals. Provide regular progress reports to clients and management. Training and Support: Train facility management staff on BMS operation and maintenance. Provide post-installation support and resolve system-related issues.
Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in BMS projects or related fields (preferred). Technical Skills: Proficiency in BMS platforms (e.g., Honeywell, Siemens, Schneider Electric).
Knowledge of HVAC systems, energy management, and system integration. Familiarity with communication protocols like BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks. Competency in CAD tools and BMS programming.
Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills. Certifications: Relevant certifications in BMS or project management (e.g., PMP, LEED) are advantageous.
