Job summary

Axium Global, a UK-based design and BIM services provider, seeks an on-site BIM Engineer (Plumbing & Fire Protection) in Mumbai. You will develop detailed BIM models, coordinate across disciplines, and ensure drawings meet design changes and clash results.

The role requires strong BIM skills (Revit), knowledge of plumbing/fire protection codes, and experience with project documentation, quality checks, and on-site collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of plumbing systems, layouts, fixtures, and integration with building services.
• Hands-on pipe routing, sizing, and coordination within BIM models for plumbing and fire protection.
• Knowledge of maintenance and repair practices for building services, with lifecycle considerations.
• General maintenance skills related to MEP coordination, documentation updates, and quality standards.
• Customer service mindset with ability to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in BIM authoring tools (e.g., Revit) with clash detection and coordination workflows.
• Familiarity with plumbing and fire protection codes/standards in UK/US/international contexts.
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical engineering or Building services (or equivalent).
• Strong attention to detail and time management; ability to work on-site in Mumbai.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop BIM models for plumbing and fire protection systems and ensure accurate coordination with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
• Interpret construction drawings and specifications; model pipework layouts, fixtures, and equipment; update models with design changes and clash results.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site BIM (Plumbing & Fire Protection) role based in Mumbai. The role involves developing detailed BIM models for plumbing and fire protection systems, ensuring accurate coordination with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines. The team member will interpret construction drawings and specifications, model pipework layouts, fixtures, and equipment, and update models based on design changes and clash detection results. The role includes collaborating with engineers and project managers, preparing documentation and shop drawings, supporting quality checks, and adhering to local and international standards. Daily responsibilities also include maintaining organized project files, meeting delivery deadlines, and contributing to continuous improvement of BIM workflows and templates.
