Job summary

SmartRecruiters, Inc. is seeking a Diploma/ITI trained BIM & CAD Technician to join our Technical Engineering team in the region. You will create 3D BIM models for PHE, drainage, water supply and fire protection using Revit (MEP) and AutoCAD, and prepare drawings and schedules.

The role emphasizes equipment space planning, sizing calculations, clash detection with Navisworks, and coordination across disciplines to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Diploma or ITI in Engineering or related field required.
• Experience with BIM/CAD workflows is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD for MEP systems.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D BIM models, sections, enlarged views, annotations and detailing for PHE, drainage, sewerage, water supply and fire protection systems.
• Plan space requirements for PHE and fire protection equipment; build/edit Revit families with parameters.
• Size piping networks, drainage, storm water and fire suppression systems (sprinklers, hydrants, risers).
• Perform clash analysis across services using Navisworks and resolve conflicts.
• Generate quantity schedules, material take-offs, schematics and design packages aligned with deadlines.

Job Description

Detailed BIM & CAD Modeling: Create 3D models, sections, enlarged views, annotations, and detailing for PHE, drainage, Sewerage, water supply, and fire-fighting systems using Autodesk Revit (MEP) and AutoCAD including toilet details.

Equipment & Space Planning: Plan space requirements for PHE and fire protection equipment, and build/edit custom Revit families with parameters.

Sizing & Calculations: Size piping networks, drainage, storm water, and fire suppression systems (e.g., sprinkler, hydrant, wet/dry riser systems).

Clash Detection & Coordination: Perform clash analysis across services using tools like Navisworks, and resolve spatial or layout conflicts.

Documentation & Schedules: Generate quantity schedules, material take-offs, schematics, and design packages in alignment with project deadlines
