Job summary

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in Structural BIM modelling and coordination.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit Structure, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
• Experience on building/infrastructure projects for domestic and/or international clients.
• Strong understanding of structural drawings, detailing, and BIM standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate structural BIM models using industry-standard software.

• Collaborate with Architecture, MEP, and Civil teams for model coordination and clash resolution.

Job Description – BIM Engineer (Structure)

Location: Chennai

Experience: 5-10 Years

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate structural BIM models using industry-standard software.
• Prepare and manage BIM deliverables, including 3D models, drawings, schedules, and documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (Architecture, MEP, Civil) to ensure effective model coordination and clash resolution.
• Ensure compliance with project BIM Execution Plans (BEP), client standards, and company BIM protocols.
• Perform model quality checks, data validation, and ensure adherence to LOD requirements.
• Support design development, construction documentation, and project delivery using BIM workflows.
• Participate in coordination meetings and resolve model-related issues with internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in implementing BIM best practices and continuous process improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in Structural BIM modelling and coordination.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit Structure, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
• Experience working on building and infrastructure projects for domestic and/or international clients.
• Strong understanding of structural engineering drawings, detailing, and BIM standards.
• Experience in clash detection, model coordination, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Familiarity with BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud is an added advantage.
• Good communication and coordination skills with project teams.

Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering
• Diploma in Civil Engineering
• BIM/Revit certification will be an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Hands-on experience in delivering BIM projects from concept through construction documentation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with minimal supervision.
• Experience working on Global Design Centre (GDC) or international projects will be preferred.
