Job summary

Dunbar & Boardman is seeking a BIM Coordinator to lead and coordinate Building Information Models across vertical transportation and façade access projects. • Familiarity with Navisworks, ACC/BIM 360, and BIM standards (ISO 19650).

Role Description

The BIM Coordinator will be responsible for managing and coordinating Building Information Models across vertical transportation and façade access projects, ensuring that models are accurate, consistent, and aligned with project requirements. This full-time remote role involves collaborating with architects, engineers, MEP specialists, and project managers to integrate design information, maintain BIM standards, and support multidisciplinary coordination. Day-to-day tasks include setting up BIM workflows, reviewing models for clashes and compliance, managing model versions, and supporting the production of drawings and documentation. The BIM Coordinator will also assist in developing and maintaining BIM execution plans, providing guidance on best practices, and contributing to continuous improvement of digital delivery processes. The role requires proactive communication with internal teams and external stakeholders to support efficient design coordination and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.


• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit, including BIM model development, coordination, family creation, model integration, and quality control.


• Experience in BIM coordination for architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines, preferably involving high-rise, commercial, mixed-use, or infrastructure projects.


• Ability to coordinate Vertical Transportation (lifts, escalators and moving walks) and Façade Access systems within multidisciplinary BIM models.


• Proficiency in Autodesk Navisworks for model coordination, clash detection, and resolution of design interface issues.


• Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, or other Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms for model sharing, document control, and coordination.


• Understanding of BIM standards, ISO 19650 principles, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), Level of Information Need, and project-specific BIM deliverable requirements.


• Ability to develop and coordinate BIM models and deliverables to the required project-specific level of detail, including LOD 300 where applicable.


• Experience in reviewing architectural and structural models to identify spatial requirements, shaft dimensions, equipment clearances, access provisions, and coordination issues.


• Ability to manage BIM model revisions, coordinate design changes, maintain model quality, and meet project submission deadlines.


• Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with project managers, engineers, architects, and multidisciplinary design teams.


• Experience in engineering consultancy or BIM coordination for international projects, particularly in the Middle East, would be an advantage.


• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Dynamo, BIM automation, and digital delivery workflows would be an added advantage.
